The Underlying Reality- "Remembrance Technology"

Logos ( λόγος ): In ancient Greek Philosophy and early Christian Theology, Logos was the divine reason implicit in the cosmos, ordering it and giving it form and meaning.

Anamnesis ( ἀνάμνησις ): “Recollection” “Reminiscence” “Remembrance”- It is the remembering of truths by the conscious mind that were once known, or that lie deeply embedded in that part of the mind that is “Under” the mind, or beneath the mind.

The great Greek thinkers argued that reality was much more complex than was believed and that its nature varied with the point of view of the observer. So what seems hot to one observer seems cold to a different observer, so we cannot say what is really hot or cold. The dynamic qualities of observed reality was that “All is Flux”. Thus the reality behind appearances must be Logos, a pattern of logical rationality.

2500 years ago there was an idea that behind this material world there must be some non-material unchanging reality that can be found by rational thought. Behind this “appearance of things”, (which was really illusion), was reality, and such reality was rational and logical. Reality could be found by reason and logic alone, without any appeal to the senses or to observation.

In fact, the appeal to observation would distract a person from the unchanging, knowable, unity of rational reality. Instead, observation would only show you the unknowable, the changing illusion of appearances.

It was in practice and known that knowledge could be obtained not by approaching the material world through the senses, but by turning away from the material world (which was unknowable illusion) and thus towards reality (which was rational and knowable). Reality was to be found by the use of reason and logic alone. This involved the unstated assumption that our rational and logical mental activities run parallel to reality and reflect it without any physical link between them.

The rational and logical reality behind the world of appearances, which was to be found without observation, was the eternal, rational, Unified Field in which everything manifests from.

Our knowledge of these things are not based on observation, but on “Reminiscence” — Anamnesis.

Learning does not consist of putting anything into the mind, but rather in recalling to the mind from its hiding place in the universal memory what the mind really knew the whole time. There are many different modalities that can “tune” us into these deeper universal memories. These modalities, which can form in many ways, are to be looked at as a type of technology, “Remembrance Technology”.

Thus Logos Anamnesis means the remembrance of the underlying reality — the underlying creation of all — Ratio, Proportion, Harmonic, Logic, Reason. This reminiscence brings the connection and the integration of harmonious order within the human being, as the microcosm. When this resonance is achieved, all that is created by the individual will be a reflection of the same essence that is always cosmologically and metaphysically grounded in the fountain of creation.

You are the creator, the modality in which the Universe is observing itself.
